Jouf
Jouf lays in the northern part of the Kingdom. It is bounded on the north by the Kingdom's northern boundary region on the north-west by the Qerayyat region; on the west by the Tabouk region; on the south by the Hail region.
Jouf is of particular interest because of the role it has played in pre- and post-Islamic history. There is archaeological evidence of the presence of the Assyrians and Nabateans in Jouf. Following its conquest by Muslims in the third year of the Hijra, it became a staging post for Muslim armies, setting out to spread the message of Islam, while remaining important cross-roads for traders and their caravans heading to or from

The Standing stones of Al Rajajil II: According to some archeologist these standing stones at Sakaka were built 6000 years ago for religious purposes.
Za'abel II :This extremely photogenic mud-brick fortress occupying a cliff top is not so very old, perhaps 170 years, but may have been built atop much earlier, pre-Islamic (i.e., prior to the seventh century A.D.) foundations.
The Well of Bir Sirsar Bir Sisar: a huge, 2,000-year-old Nabatean well cut out of solid rock with staircases leading down into it.
Qasr Mared: A palace almost in the shape of ruins at Domat alJandel glorifies the tourists and archeologists.
There are a variety of Museums at different towns of Jouf. At Sakaka(a Town) there are 9 museums, two museums at Dumat al Jandel, and two at Al Qurayat.
Things To Do:
Jouf is an excellent agricultural region where local farmers have responded to the Government's land distribution program.
The cultivation of palms constitutes the main agricultural sector. In addition Jouf produces wheat and a wide variety of fruit and vegetables, including grapes, figs, olives, potatoes and tomatoes.
