Jubayl

Overview :

Jubayl is one of the very famous industrial cities of Saudi Arabia. It is situated in the Arabian Gulf near the Red sea along with the city of Yanbu. A Royal Commission has been set up by the Saudi Arabian government for both the cities. The main role of this Commission is to plan and execute all developments in both the industrial cities.

 Earlier Jubayl city of Saudi Arabia was a part of Eastern Province and was one of the main caravan junctions in the whole region. The city was famous for the pearls that were available in the sea bed. But due to its location near the oil fields, it was chosen as a site for setting up the world's largest petrochemical complex.

Today Jubayl in Saudi Arabia has 19 major factories and 136 ancillary units. These factories produce steel, aluminum, fertilizers, etc. The whole industrial area falls under the governance of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC).

Major Attractions :

 

One must visit Al-Batwah Island near Jubayl as it has parks and zoos for public. Another place in Jubayl at Saudi Arabia that must be visited is the Picnic Zone, which offers playgrounds and arena for water sports. It covers a land area of 204 kilometers and lays in the west of the industrial zone. There are two museums in Jubayl The Royal Commission in Jubayl and SABIC Museum

Surfing and Diving: Surfing on the sea in Jubayl is an attraction everyone will always remember. Diving is another attraction for water lovers, the tourist must relax them but in a careful manner.
